If you need a brand specialist to breathe some life into your business, look no further.
Because I am back at work following my maternity leave and I can’t wait to get my teeth into some amazing rebranding projects for clients existing and new.
Here’s the thing – having taken the time during my maternity leave to evaluate my work, I’ve made the decision to use the hours I have to be more focused. So, please meet the new and improved me – Samantha Hunter, Brand Specialist.
How I’ve Used My Maternity Leave
Well, apart from the obvious of spending time with our gorgeous son and enjoying watching him grow, I’ve also been working away in the background of my business to make it more efficient. I’ve streamlined my processes. I’ve pared down my website (and still working on it). I’ve really nailed down what I want to be working on as I step back into my office.
I am a Brand Specialist.
After all, transforming a business and creating their brand is my favourite area of design to do, and I’m great at it. And soon there will be a whole page on my website dedicated to the brilliant brand work I have done with some cracking ‘before and afters’ to check out too.
I learned a lot while I was away from work. About motherhood, myself, my priorities and my focus when it comes to my business, SK Design Studio. So here’s the thing…
I have fewer hours to work with these days. That’s the blunt truth. This means that I really need to drill down to the projects that I feel most passionate about and take on more work in that area.
The area of branding. Helping established businesses take the next step in their journey by reimagining their brand and driving them on to bigger and better things. There’s nothing I love more than getting my hands on an established brand, one that’s outgrown its initial ‘make-do’ logo, and breathing new life into it. Being part of that journey is so gratifying.
Brand Specialist – What I Offer
I love helping businesses with their branding. Which, yes, is so much more than just a new logo. It’s about the values, the story, and the very essence of a business. A good brand tells a story, evokes emotions and brings a whole puzzle of elements together to push a business forward. And branding work is what I love to do.
Once a business has been around for a while and has outgrown its original branding, that is where I come in. I work with established businesses to reimagine their brand. Deliver new ideas from which to create a platform for growth, excellent communication and a brand to be incredibly proud of.
“Branding is the art of becoming knowable, likeable and trustable” – John Jantsch
If you work in, own or know of any established businesses that understand the power of a great brand, send them my way – I’d love to work with them.
But don’t worry, I’ll still be offering some project work opportunities too, particularly to my existing clients. Because I love working with great brands, especially when I created that brand in the first place!
Here’s a list of the kind of project work I’ll be able to take on:
Presentation design - (for introductory docs, proposals and pitches, talks and training, courses and workshops)
Reports
Planners / Journals
Infographics
Catalogues / Brochures
Magazines / newsletters
Got anything like that clogging up your ‘to do’ pile? Drop me a line and let’s have a chat!
What to Expect in the Future
Well, who knows? I have loved paring down my graphic design offering to make the best of the time I have available. And because I am passionate about giving my all to every piece of work I do.
In the meantime, if you happen across my website, know that it’s a work in progress. I’m busy in the background reworking the content and my own branding presentation to make sure I’m speaking to my ideal clients. I’m streamlining my processes and making the flow of working together as enjoyable and efficient as possible.
Time is precious and I want us to get the most out of it when we work together.
Make sure to enquire about any branding projects as early as you can and let’s make a start on your incredible design work. I can’t wait to have a chat and get our working relationship started. The first thing to do is visit my Contact Page and fill in the form there. I’ll be back in touch as soon as possible to get the ball rolling.
